Station Road Garage On The Move!
Development of the Station House site is now well underway, with permission for restoration and development of the former station building, commercial units and 12 apartments.
A separate application for the Station Yard was passed in September 2019 and will deliver 32 flats as early as next year.
All this has meant Mervyn Smith and his crew at Station Road Garage have been looking for alternative accommodation and one of their main aims was to stay in our villages. Mervyn, who has always been Cambridge based, started the garage on his own 9 years ago and has built up a team of staff during that time, as well as a loyal customer base.
The garage offers all services from MOTs, repairs and services, to tyre fitting and diagnostics. The team are delighted to announce that they will be relocating to Impington in early Spring 2020 to Fieldstead Road, off New Road. People may know it better as the old “Pick Your Own Strawberry site” owned by Chivers Farms Limited and located between the Recreation Ground and the Spire Hospital.
This key location continues to provide good access for the Guided Bus, local bus route, and major employment sites such as the Science Park. SRG also have courtesy cars available.
